Hi Butt,

Wow! What a neat name! You must be a beginner diver just like me,
Steve Schinke and Greg Kuiper. We welcome you aboard. It is
refereshing to have a new diver as yourself understand all of the
aspects of technical diving just by reading a book. Don't listen to all
of the know-it-alls that actually have dive experience.

I agree with your comments on Brett's book. I really liked his hand
writing on that slate of his on his deep dive. He might have been a
little narced, but as you know, that can be controlled with repeated
deep air exposures. Recently I came across some other very good
publications that you will find full of information, they include PADI's
"Adventure in Scuba Diving" and "Learning to Scuba Dive in a Weekend."
Me and the boys think that if you can scuba dive in a weekend you can
learn how to dive deep air in a week (most of that time is reading the
book).

Again, welcome to the list.

Hi!

I'm new to the list and thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm really into diving deep, deep, air, preferably in the range
of 325-400 feet, and am interested in techniques and
tips that will eventually allow me to get down to 600 feet.

I read Brett Gilliams great book _Deep Diving_ and got
some good info from there. Anybody have any tips
or techniques?

I do most of my deep diving in the Bahamas, because
they've got great walls there, and the dive boat operators
don't ask alot of questions.
