Not that I'm trying to change the neat thread on PFO's, but I
have a bit of a quandry and I'd like to turn to the folks 'in the know'.
I have the chance to purchase an AGA full face mask with the
yellow silicone skirt, and pre-installed OPS wireless communications
system (including t/x, mic and phones). I was quoted a price of $1200
Canuck.
If I go with this setup, I intend for the near future to use my
existing reg (TUSA Imprex) first stage until I get a more suitable first
stage (Poseidons seem to be a favorite here on the list). Of course, I
wouldn't use the AGA/Imprex combination in colder water (although I could
prob'ly environmentalize the first stage - don't worry, I'm a TUSA reg tech).
My two questions to the 'net are a) is the quoted price $1200CAN
reasonable and would it be worth pursuing a similar setup with an EXO-26
if I can find a similar price (I heard a similar price for an Exo without
comms). Any opinions on the quality of the OPS comms gear would also be
appreciated.
