There was a company in CA that had parts to recondition dh regs; Sets of
hoses ran about $100 several years ago.  The diaphragm is approx 6" in
diameter.  Can you say difficult to breathe?  While there are some people
who still like to use dh regs (photographers who do not want bubble
interference, etc.) you would be better served to mount it on a nice plaque
and hang it on the wall.  There are people who like to drive old hot rods,
but they do not expect the performance of a new Porsche.

If you really like a dh reg, try Nemrod - they are the only current mfg that
I know of; Nemrod is difficult to locate (this year they are in Spain, next
year they may be in Italy, who knows where) and not a piece of equipment
that I would bet the ranch on.
