A recent posting suggested using a dive computer that can record a detailed
dive profile.

The Suunto Eon and Solution Alpha can each record the maximum depth for
segments of 20, 30, or 60 seconds in length.  The sampling interval is set
through the PC interface software.  Both computers hold about 25 hours of
profiles when set to 60 second sampling.

The Suunto Solution and SME each use a 3-minute sampling rate and hold about
8 hours of profiles.  The sampling rate cannot be changed on either.  The
Suunto Companion does not have the profile memory capability.
