Probably the same thing that happens to all the other skills every diver
should have but often turns out not to have when the shit hits the fan
for real.

Besides, you want to just pop the quick-disconnect on the inflator hose. 
That's quicker, and doesn't kill everything else on that first stage.
Only if the whole works is frozen together or the hose end freeflows
would you go to your tank valve.
