Chuck: Would you care to quantify the increase in speed and efficiency ? Have you ever had a dive with mixed colour tanks, ie: 1 red and 1 blue ? This setup would, I think, tend to have increased drag on the blue side, or, at least, reduced drag on the red side. One would then have a tendancy to swim in circles in the direction of the blue side. One would have to take extra care in using their compass.
