I would be interested to know if there are any divers on this list who
have
been diving fresh or brackish water in the Pennsylvania, Maryland areas.
Routine memory loss in divers is well known - Uh, I think I went to
300',
but this little bugger's effects seem to be quite noticeable. Note that
the
woman scientist twho discovered the organism was also disabled by it. I
suspect that Pfeisteria can also survive quite well in the brackish
water
near the Chesapeake Bay. Let me know if you have had any of these
symptoms
after diving in fresh water.
