Subject: Blood test for DCI?

I recently read an abstract of a diving experiment.  In the abstract they
mention the use of 

    "Quidel immunoassays of complement components C5-C9" 


to test for DCI.  Is this a blood test for DCI?  I can dig up the exact 
reference if anyone is interested.  The abstract concerned the use of 
surface interval O2 and contained limited information.  For example there
is no reference to papers on this Quidel immunoassay.
