Many thanks David for your brilliant explanation, this has certainly given me 
something to think about.

As you know I've already got the light, also my left hip D-ring is positioned 
up against the backplate as I'm quite a skinny build it needs to be there to 
stop the ali cylinders rolling under if they are pumped full. So I'll have to 
think of somewhere else for the lump hammer.

I'd be interested to hear how you adapt this method when you have your light.
