Subject: S CA Diving?

All,

I will be in Costa Mesa, CA (South LA area) in late February and would
enjoy getting in some diving.  I'm not particular, although I'd prefer
renting doubles, bringing the rest of my cave gear and doing some deeper
(air, but not DEEP air) diving.  If you live there or have visited and
had a good experience (shops, dive sites, boats, etc), please share. 
Economical alternatives would be wonderful!
