Orchard Lawrence, Yes, the hogarth rig, which I use when, I am not not carring anything works well.(Deco tanks and cameras.) But, as a wreck diver with alot of tools,I find, putting lots of stainless steel snapshackels on my harness is very helpful. For large tools like a Johnson bar or any tool that weighs more than about 15 pounds or impact hammers, I send them down with the anchor on the drop. On most dives that require lots of tools I send them down in a milk crate all attached to each other and the crate. The crate has a lift bag attached to it so I can move it around easier. If you haul a heavy crate around with you make sure that it is rigged so it does not tip over. Another thing to watch out for is the way you loop your primary second stage hose. If you wrap it around your neck (cave dive protocol) it can get in the way when you are cutting large electrical cables. It is better to 'stuff it' the best way you know how, to get it out of the way of your cutting tool.(high speed, hack saw, or bolt cutter). The best method is to assess the needs of the dive and accomodate it as you see fit. Good luck. Not every wreck operation requires the same tools!
