Jason,
Instead of making crass assumptions why don't you list the dangers you speak
of, I would be really interested to hear this one. 

BTW it's not for convenience but rather for better control and less CF's.
You do have to have a genuine clue about proper weighting to begin with
though (and most people really don't).
