I'm sure it is real - I just wonder if many US East Coast wreck divers (for whom deep diving means getting up early and taking a long boat ride) can recognize it. I have tried breathing O2 for half an hour when feeling especially tired, but since it didn't make a dramatic difference I always concluded that I was suffering from lack of sleep and the effects of the meclazine and not DCS.
