Just to clarify again. My point on Palmer was that he got involved with the wrong crowd and it did him in ( deep air). My point on Parker was that he dove non-redundent gear in a cave and it did him in ( one air bottle, one mix bottle - the deep air got him). Both situations are unfortuneate, they are tragedies, and they are both examples of sheer stupidity beyond the pale. The only good thing that can come from this is that we can see what happens when even long time experieced divers violate rule number one ( Palmer ) and we can learn to think dives all the way through from Parker's bad experience and do it right in the future. I do not want to hear any bullshit about this - you all know I am right. If it can kill these guys, it can kill you and me. That is the lesson to be spread around, not the excuses, bullshit, and letter writing by fat slobs and half wit strokes.
