Mauricio,

Virtually all dopplers used in diving are portable.  Prices range from
less than $500.00 to greater than $2000.00.

The ad you saw was for the Huntleigh unit, available in the US thru
UAC and Randy Bohrer.

One problem is that just having a doppler does not do any good.  It usually
requires a 2-4 day intensive course in doppler testing and then in test
evaluation before the usual person is ready to start using his doppler
in a correct manner.

DCIEM offers training in doppler, as does the University of Texas (Carole
Fife, MD).  There may be others (ie, Duke University, University of New York
at Buffalo, etc)., but I do not know if they offer courses to others, or just
to in program personal.
