Jason,

Dr. X produces it's conservative factor by exponentially increasing
the bottom times.  In earlier versions, it only increased bottom times
in mix dives, did not do so with air or nitrox dives.

The conservative factor of 100 seems to produce a bottom time that
raised to about the 1.1 power, 200 seems to be 1.2, etc.

Next time you play with Dr. X, look at the display of the adjusted bottom
time versus "straight" buhlmann.
