According to the French Police, our boy Dennis Sirven ( another fine TDI example ), was loaded on pot when he died, and the autopsy report clearly states this. According to eyewitnesses, he smoked a fat spleef one hour prior to his dive. According to eyewitnesses, he was diving a side bottle of 20% helium trimix ( what I would use for a 122 foot, not meter, dive) and had air in his backtanks, a practice that only the absolute DUMBEST of the strokes anywhere would do. His secret (personal preference) plan was to drop down, use the bottles left by the other diver ( which he was supposed to retrieve) to go deeper. The other diver used all of the gas. This genius not only ruined that dive and killed himself, he got diving in the Valceuse SHUT DOWN - NO MORE DIVING THANKS TO THE TDI STROKE. This is exactly what you would expect form the local TDI franchise holder, and this is exactly what we get out of the same types here in the States - nothing but dangerous nonsense, deep air, death, and more problems for genuine research and exploration diving - a fine example again, as is set by the leader of TDI himself on a regular basis with his personal deep air diving, his personal conduct and appearance, and his writings bragging about the "ability" to dive deep on air. I have been criticized by the head of TDI, Bret Gilliam, as being a "Nazi" because I will not tolerate pot-smokers, air divers, personal preference gear and dive plans or strokes of any kind, and for insisting on a set of strict guidelines for research and exploration diving. This is what our team insists on. I will match my track record, and the track record of the WKPP under our current membership to anyone's on this planet, especially TDI's any time, any place. TDI is shutting down diving for all of us, and we need to point that out, as are the pot-smoking, deep air diving, drunken, complaining cave diving instructors here in Florida who seem to be doing exactly the same thing, and they know who they are. What really amazes me is how the strokes all insist on lionizing idiots who kill themselves doing stupid things, and how the same strokes try to cover everything up ( Mitch Skaggs, either an idiot, a liar , or more likely both, was down here in Ft Lauderdale claiming that Sirven was diving the "right mix" ). The other amazing thing is that the same strokes do it over , and over, and over again. I will investigate and expose every accident you have , and stick it in your faces, until you quit ruining diving for all of us , and until you quit getting people killed, and until you quit teaching garbage. Go ahead and complain about me all you want - you just keep calling attention to the fact that I am right about each and every thing I have said, right down to the "show up with a hair sample and a urine sample". Now I know why they get so pissed about my "pot-smoking drunks" bullseye.
