I'd love to know how you intend to build pressure inside a tube where one
end is loosely connected to the scuba valve and the other end, about 2"
away, is completely open!

Most O2 sensors have a simple tee that without a great deal of flow would
never build any pressure up to affect the reading.  

This is the typical snorkel shop bullshit.  Any non-comatose nitrox
instructor will tell you that "yes theoretically it's PPO2s for the sensor,
but in reality it's pretty hard to screw up a reading".

Thanks for sharing, though.
