No, this is not a question with many aspects - it's about a Sherwood DIN isolation manifold for doubles. Since this manifold is nearly ubiquitous in technical circles, I figure it's OK to post this to techdiver. A few months ago I bought my second set of Sherwood Genesis 100's, and installed the manifold myself. I had no apparent leaks, and since I have had two years of trouble-free service from my first set, didn't worry about their reliability. Yesterday, my buddy noticed a small leak where the crossover piece joins one of the tank valves. Some fiddling with a wrench in the tub seams to have fixed the leak, but now I am worried about more serious leaks. So my questions are, are small leaks common in Sherwood manifolds? Does anyone have experience with a small leak turning into a catastrophic leak? My biggest worry is that a little o-ring on one of the nipples or something will decide to become disloged and dump my air faster than a freeflowing Odin. On the other hand, I am reluctant to have somebody at a shop take the whole thing apart and possibly screw it up worse than when I started. JHeimann@sc*.gt*.co*
