This regulator is NOT new ! It has been announced in the april-edition of the german "unterwasser". In the next edition (may) some divers wanted to be beta-tester (no kidding). By the way: They are going to make a hogarth-version for this years April magzine maybe, it is coming with a long-range transmitter similar to the long-hose !! One main-problem is when divers swap regulators by accident, because then the one diver is breathing of the other divers tank. When out of range this might suck ! Next thing to come: stage-tanks with magnetic attachment to harness. The problem here: Where to put the D-Rings then ?? I might ask a Tattoo-shop if they can do some cool piercings. Bondage-Wing-dudes might clip the stages to D-Rings attached to their nipples. Cool Tekkie-Dudes can clip the Reel somewhere beneath the crotch-strap... A special proprietary transmitter attaches to the low pressure port and delivers the contents of the scuba tank- without a hose- to the second stage that is equipped with a proprietary gas receiver. Each transmitter is set at a different frequency so that you cannot inadvertently send your gas to your buddy who is using a similar device and comes into range of yours. A spare second stage equipped with a receiver can be carried in your BC pocket for redundancy or to give to another diver in trouble for buddy breathing ( the in-trouble diver must stay within 100 yards of your transmitter to receive your gas supply). In this way, you can stay far away from a panic stricken diver and yet supply them with breathing gas. This system revolutionizes existing scuba systems and makes issues he the long hose or short moot. It is made in France. This is all I know but I will see it at DEMA. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
