Steve- I have been using a voltmeter and a calculator, which works great in the garage, but on a pitching boat deck at 2am in the morning it's can be less than ideal. So if I find a minox for 100 bucks, what the hell... BTW, you can use the ceramatec unit with a minox. And, yes, I could make the one in the Oxy Hacker book, but who's got the time, dude? It's worth a $100 to me not to have to fuck with hunting down the parts and whipping out the soldering iron.
