Subject: O2 clean for trimix

A good way to mix trimix is to first premix nitrox, and then use this to top
off the helium in your tanks. For example, to make 18/40 mix (a personal
favorite), you just mix up EAN30, and then mix this with He in a 60/40 blend.
The nice thing about this is that all your dive tanks don't have to be
clean (whatever you mix the nitrox in should be, of course). Moreover, since
the He doesn't have any O2, you can adjust your trimix blend easily based on
O2 readings (assuming your initial nitrox mix was reasonably accurate). This
is much harder when you blend He, O2, and air, since if your measured O2
level is off for the blend you can't be sure whether you screwed up with the
O2 or the air.
