> >Bozo:> I saw a message that comments on an all out effort by the >British diving community to rescind an invitation offered to George to >speak at a BSAC meeting in November. Bollocks you did. The British diving community is a very distinct thing from the BSAC show, one of several trade & lecture shows held each year. Bret Gilliam will be there, talking about filming humpbacks & hammerheads and his experiences of rebreather diving - and handy TDI instructors will be there to let people try an Atlantis rebreather in the pool. Serious stuff, huh? >> It seems ... the BSAC officials ... want nothing to do with [GI3] the same free-thinking BSAC that approved the use of nitrox ages after the other UK bodies "thus reaffirming its status as the guiding light in UK sports diving", & is effectively vetoing other scuba organisations for applying for grants from the national lottery sports fund? strange parallels with other events taking place .... >> Personally, I hope he does go over there since it's unlikely he can >>escape with his head after the contemptible remarks made about fellow >>Brits like Rob Palmer and Rob Parker. I hope so too. What he's got to offer is more important than a moral stance against users of naughty language. Speaking of which, how much anti-George profanity do I have to cut thru to find constructive contributions from its authors?
