Hi, I'm new to this list and haven't had time to read many of the posts have been previously posted, but it does look interesting. How long has this mail list been together? What I'm looking for is to find out if there is an instructor in the upper Michigan area who teaches Deep Nitrox and Deep Air diving. I have a few friends and I who've been diving some of the wrecks in Lake Superior, and we want to do some deeper dives next season. We figured that if we had the card we may be able to take some of the charters available up there. We've been diving nitrox this year, and have been doing some pretty deep dives, like 150 or so. We use Aga masks, double 120's or single 120's with 30's as backup. We figured that if we wanted to do deeper dives we would probably be best off with double independent 120's and a 3 way valve so we could dive 26-28% nitrox down to maybe 150, and then switch to air from 150 to bottom. That would save us some deco time, right? We don't want to go extreme, but maybe 220-225' or so. We want to keep our PO2's below 1.6, and we don't have the money to get into mixed gas right now. If you know an instructor that wouldn't mind showing us the ropes of deep air and technical nitrox, could you put me in touch with them?
