I have been trying to stay out of some of this BS, but this takes the = cake. If the Scubapro think was true, then why were we able to place a = large order of equipment today? The thing about the Scubapro web page = droping WKPP is an out and out lie, go to = www.jwa.com/scubapro/champs/champions.html , but I will let Jon Braszile = handle that one since he the the Scubapro webmaster. But the best one, = Bill Royall, is a fake. If he is still alive, he is 90 some years old = and does not know what a computer is. All this coming from a person who = says G is an internet abuser, go figure. Only one person is responsible = for this BS, you guessed it, BRET. Barry ---------- From: Bill Royall Sent: Thursday, October 16, 1997 12:51 PM To: techdiver@aquanaut.com Cc: cavers@ge*.co* Subject: Irvine & Internet It is sad. I guess that if teh crap that George Irvine and Company perpetrates on the Internet were not so venal and loathsome, it would be downright comical in its ineptitude. His latest posting, once again cowardly sent as an anomymous message, says that Bret Gilliam was fired from his position as CEO of UWATEC. Of course, his transparent duplicity is obvious to anyone with an IQ above room temperature. None the less, Gilliam still rules at UWATEC much to Irvine's obvious torment. What's so funny is that Irvine makes the preposterous announcements only to have them immediately proven false to even the most casual observer. What kind of mutated world does he live in? Why would anyone set himself up as such a fool? You have to ask yourself when this moron has time to do anything except pound his keyboard (and obviously his pud considering his favorite expression is "stroke") posting various Internet garbage that everyone knows is completely made up.=20 But his repetitious pattern of obvious lies and misinformation should be a case study for paranoid dysfunction. There is really no secret at the source of his animus to Gilliam. Ever since that scathing article he wrote in Deep Tech (Bravo!) exposed Irvine to be the scum that he really is, Gilliam has replaced Bill Stone, Jim King, Tom Mount, etc, as Irvine's target. The list is endless. What's amusing to me is that Irvine really thinks that anyone takes him seriously or that anyone doesn't see through the absurd charade of his mis-attributed postings when he's too chicken to sign his own name. And the idea that millionaires like King and Gilliam might be affected by Irvine's rants only sadly reflected his continued distorted view of reality in an industry that has no time for him or his nutcase disciples. By the way, in spite of Irvine's protestations to the contrary, a source at Scubapro has confirmed that ALL ties to Irvine and the WKPP have been withdrawn. Apparently the guys at the top of that company were stunned to learn of Irvine's antics and quietly sent the word down the ladder to cut off any association between Scubapro and Irvine. An examination of Scubapro's website will show that the WKPP has been completely removed and one of their sales reps confirmed that absolutely no further sponsorship will be made. So my guess is that we can now look forward to Irvine slamming Scubapro. Meanwhile, real professionals like Jim Bowden and Ann Kristovich continue to be fully sponsored by Scubapro and UWATEC.
