It reduced my lens life to 6 mths-a year >instead of the normal 2 years). I've been using soft lenses since I started diving - coming up for 8 years. I dive in them, swim with them in (goggles or not), and play underwater hockey with them in. I've never lost my mask while diving, but it happens often enough playing hockey, and I've never lost a lens yet. The one problem I have is that after a couple of days diving my lenses start to irritate a bit, reducing wear time and occasionaly forcing me back to my specs during surface intervals. After some experimentation, I think I've traced this to the exposure to sun, wind & rain and the fact that I have sensetive eyes - wearing exotic surface eyewear (wickid shades :->) seems to have cured the problem. Never noticed any fogging during/after dives, and haven't seen any film building up - could this have been protein buildup due to increased 'tear' activity (don't know the biological term) caused by irritation (ie salt water in your eyes).
