Jon, you are exactly right about commercial divers not useing oxygen, They use 80/20 at 10 feet and they use air up to that point. Air is more natural , since that is what we breath, so it is better to decopmpress on . Studies have shown that air is better than decompressing on pure O2 for thuis reason. Since this is a much mroe efficient offgassing than oxygen, most commercial divers use it for eveything. Since it is more efficient, you can use it like oxygen and jsut set your deco program for oxygen, but really use air. Before they hospitalized me, I was jsut starting to show how aliens were able to land on our planet, decompress with 80/20, and be ablke to strep right out of their spaceships in minutes, rahter than HOURS with pure oxygen, and they showed no ill effects from this at all. In fact, in most aliens the vaoconstricitve effect in far mor pronounced, and that is why in earlier alien drwawings from the fist sightings, the eyes were bugged out from deompression sickeness, much like a Groupper brought up from the dpeths by a fisherman.
