But to get the bent diver into the helo you have to drop the anchor line anyway. My recollection is that you have to be running at 15 knots, with the wind on either the port or starboard quarter. (Coasties, Navy, and boat captains who have exercised this drill please correct). If you try to do it at anchor, then the down draft from the helo just keeps blowing the boat around the anchor line. I'm sure that everyone understood that you would not in fact use that language on the air, especially to the Coastguard, especially in an emergency. Your license, your boat's inspection, and your butt would be toast. And you get labelled as panicking...
