Subject: Re: Re[2]: Need For REAL Training Agency
Dear Kenneth,

Bravo for having the guts to respond to this inane bickering. The newgroup
forum should be open to everyone that wants to learn, inquire and trade info
on the technical aspect.
Many of my tekkie friends are scared to post to this group for fear of being
ridiculed for not being as well informed or advanced as some of those who
monopolize the group. I admire the dedication and training of these people,
but a personal beef should be kept within the confines of those persons'
private e-mail. Some days I feel like I am reading a macho version of Ann
Landers.
Nor do I like the sexual inferences or mysoginy. Yes I am a girl I will never
be able to tote a scooter, twins and stages all at the same time due to sheer
physical size. But what I and other cavers have in common is our love for the
beauty, serenity and overwhelming awe we have for these gifts of nature
Sometime I think I have seen God in a massive outflow at Ginnie or Blue
Springs. And yes, I like the math and physics that goes with it too, because
I can understand it. It puts on an even level with the guys even if I can't
haul twin 120's.
I applaud those of you who dared to go into unexplored territory, created
agencies for the training of safe diving, produced more efficient tables and
promoted the conservation of these resources. But we are `all tired of the
bickering and who's got a bigger weenie. I see more unsuscribes everyday
because everyone is bored with it.
So guys..can you keep among yourselves for awhile? I am fascinated when you
talk of near death screw ups and have the guts to tell everyone else that you
weren't perfect. It also helps me and others learning from your mistakes and
honest confessions..
Til then,
Eanx Miss
