Ok George, tell us all how you would have done it if you were the Capt. I think Mike was correct in cutting lose and getting the bent diver to medical attention as fast as possible. It was something that the Capt. must have had a hard time doing. There is only one thing worse than leaving a diver in the water and that is having a dead diver on the boat while waiting for a diver to finish his deco. The diver that was left in the water was in my mind in no danger. This is not the Ocean we are talking about. There is no current to speak of, decent weather, there was a good line that was moored to the wreck and a boat was dispatched to aid the in water diver as soon as they cut loose. What more of a contingency could you expect. You can't tell me that the practice in ocean wreck diving of floating a lift bag and drifting while in deco is safer practice than going to get a diver that every boat in the area could have the FIXED location in there GPS. Note: I'm only using the ocean thing as a comparison. So ocean divers don't get your nose all bent out of shape. Randy Sullivan Sault Ste.
