Just a little FYI... If you want a look at the Poseidon Triton, check out the back of the latest issue of SCUBA Times. My rep called today and says it'll be a Month before we can get them, but they're coming. Computer News.... Uwatec, maker of the Aladin and Monitor computers and many more, is now going to go direct as a supplier in the U.S. They will NOT sell mail order, but only through dealers. I just received some literature on the Air X, their hoseless computer, and it really looks nice....once it is available, I'll be diving it (probably by the end of August), and I'll be able to tell of it's functions. From what I saw, it does not only profiling, but when it downloads, it fills in the blanks for you, except for location, and it'll show breathing rate throughout the dive, ascent rate, and many many more functions. The downloading equipment will sell for $120, also, so that should be reasonable. I'm sure the other manufacturers who sell their computers will be a little peaved, but at least we'll be one level closer to seeing what's new, and maybe we can get trimix computers coming....(I did hear from a person at Uwatec that the Air X is only a short step away from the generation of Trimix computers that may be coming) We can only hope! Anyway, I know that this is kind of a commercial message, but it is meant as news...Hope I didn't offend anyone, 'cuz I know that those few touchy people out there can be a big pain when they get upset. :-) Happy diving!
