Topcat got her information a bit wrong on this one. While pushing a tight
virgin mud crawlway above the J2 sump head pool I slid backward a few feet on
a mud slope and sheared off the outer elbow. The valve continued to function
and I continued to take advantage of it since I was in the suit for over eight
hours that day. I made an emergency repair by using a piece of glove and the
cover from my dry suit inflator as a temporary plug. On the second series of
dives I began to get some water leakage but since the river temps were up this
was just a small inconvenience rather than life threatening. Trip report will
follow soon.

Subject: P-Valve problems
Joseph,
I caught part of an e-mail that said you had a problem with the
P-Valve. What happened? BTW, I'm in Florida until the 30th, so
my replys might take a few days.
