Yes, none of the snake's survivors will be able to collect.
No one (at least, no one in their right mind) ever adopts snakes, and
therefore the snake had no legal grounds for being present in the
adoption center.
Furthermore, the snake was confined to cage pending his expulsion from
the center, as he had just eaten two rats and a hamster, sending the one
witness into a catatonic state of shock.
The witness is living in Burma, and is sueing the center for allowing the
snake access to such harmless prey.
I don't know if she caught the virus.
