My IIa has been back to the factory twice now...and it still is not working correctly...having spent the initial 1000 dollars and bearing the added cost of shipping it back to the factory for repair...I feel like I have been taken to the cleaners by Mike Cochran and company. As you indicated when the unit is functional it is worth its weight in gold....but the NUMEROUS critical failures I have had with my unit prevent me from relying on it for anything more then a glorified dive profiler. As long as I continue to get such substandard reliability from Cochran products I will continue to refuse recommending their technology to my compatriats....
