A guy called me today wanting my address so he could send me his = Tekna for repair. It seems that when he unpluged the charger from the = scooter charging port, it ignited the afterburners and was launched into = his front yard, his neighbors yard and across the street. He did it = right, he unpluged it from the power source first, but it did not seem = to matter this time. Noone was hurt, thankfully, but this does raise an = issue. We have all known that the DV-3x's were unstable at best. Where = do we draw the line? I have repaired the Teknas for 3 years now, but I = am beginning to wonder if I will repair them anymore. What should we do? = There are a lot of them out there, about 11,000 were built. I am sure = that a couple of thousand are lost or out of service, but that still = leaves a large number still running. We need to find a way to improve = the 3X's by putting the motors in the Mako or DV-100 style bodies. Does = anyone know where I can get about 7 or 8 thousand Mako or DV-100 = bodies???
