	The author in this reference is (I believe) Richard D. Vann who works 
at the Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC and is the head of research
for Diver's Alert Network.  The book referenced here (The Phisiology and
Medicine
of Diving) is available from DAN.  Or you could call the hyperbaric unit at the
hospital directly at (919) 684-6726.
