Hi Steve. I have a 2mm compressed neoprene Northern Diver dry suit.

The neoprene is NOT crushed (DUI have the copyright on this, I think),
but is 2mm Compressed. They compress the material, then make the suit
out of it, rather than the DUI approach where they make the suit - then
crush the whole thing. The ND is not quite as plyable as the 2mm DUI,
but it is one hell of a lot cheaper. It also comes made-to-measure, with
a guarantee that if it don't fit, ND will make you another one to fit.
Mine went back to be re-fitted, but now I've got a suit that is spot-on.
It comes with neoprene seals as standard - no latex unless you ask.

NDs quality is usually very good. They are virtually standard dress for
UK divers. Its unusual not to see ND suits on a dive boat....

I spend a fair amount of time rumaging around on wrecks and the suit has
easily taken all the abuse I give it.

Unfortunately, it now comes in one colour - a bright orange-red.
However, if you ask them _very_ nicely, they may still have some black
neoprene left if you want a technical suit ;-)

I've got a bellows pocket on one side and a lump-hammer pocket (!) on
the other. They have lots of different accessories that you can choose
from. It comes with reflective strips sown onto the shoulders and hood.
I've also got the air-gun suit inflator. However, my inflator is off my
old ND suit - which is a very nice Shraeder metal air-gun. The one that
comes with it now is a nasty piece of black and red plastic that is
crap. It also seems to stick open a bit. Don't waste your money on the
plastic crap.

Am I happy with it? Yes. I would buy one again. I did look at the DUI
suits as well - but I just didn't feel comfortable in them - they seem
to be styled for people who have tree-trunks for arms ;-). On me, they
just didn't fit.

 - Helen

acting as a rep somehow. Not real sure of his deal but he's gettin' em
made
for people up here.
If you want to contact the guy lemme know
