Hi folks,
I'm mostly a listener on this forum, but have recently gained sinkhole
level cave certification (CDAA) and am starting to think about setting
up twin tanks.
I am interested in opinions of suitable second regulators for cave
diving. I currently have a Sherwood Maximus primary reg and a Sherwood Brut
attached to a pony bottle. I would like to get a third reg for use as a
left side reg in a twin system.
What do people think of the folowing regs for this application:
Poseiden Jetstream
Scubapro D-350
Sea Hornet Command Air (Australian)
Oceanic Oasis II
Any other suggestions ?
In particular, do they perform adequately in the 40m+ range and how expensive
are they to service (spare parts) ?
Also, can they be setup for a hose coming over the left shoulder ?
(I think the Jetstream would not be a problem in this dept.)
The cave environment here is cold water (down to 10 degrees celsius).
Thanks for any advice,
David.
P.S: For Australian readers, I dived Pics for the first time two weekends
ago and discovered why cave diving is addictive! (Part of a sinkhole
course with Barrie Heard)
