>>Could you please list the 20 specialty classes that you have obtained? =

I have not heard anything funny on this list in a while and I'm sure
that would be worth a couple of laughs.<<

Once upon a time (good old, of course) it was customary for list/newsgro=
up
newbies to lurk for a while, read the FAQ (if one exists), check the
archives, etc., etc., to get a feel for the local list culture, and
eventually start posting signal. =

But nowadays even the techdiver "welcome message" encourages everybody to=

make a complete ass out of themselves immediately. I think that message
should be altered, for obvious reasons.

This doesn't mean that I wouldn't enjoy seeing his list of specialties,
though. So far we know about - really impressed ON - DeepDeepAir (altitud=
e,
sea level, Dead Sea level, technical West of Lake Baikal DeepDeepAir, all=

of the above?) - really impressed OFF.

P.S. Wouldn't that be a cool idea for a new "HeyyDude" story: "How I to=
ok
20 Specialties with Mr. Irvine"?

mika, munich =

On a related note: while diving across the border in Austria today, we we=
re
informed that we will now be required to show an 'Ice Diving' card to div=
e
a particular lake next Winter. Diving with 'Maldives equipment' with a
single 1st stage is OK, though, just show the card ... =
