Subject: New Zealand DIve Article - a few corrections
One of my pals mailed me an article from a New Zealand dive mag on
"trimix" by Kevin Denlay. Either Kev is out of the loop, or this is more
of the usual misinformation designed to promote the non-players. It
discusses the evolution of trimix diving and long range cave diving,
with no mention of the WKPP - THE ONLY GROUP WHO DOES IT. It does have
glowing things to say about Hal Watts, who has never done it, Bill
Stone, who has never done it, Lary Green who has barely done it ( no
range), Sandy Dirksen ( PAAALEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE), and the usdct,
which will never do it.

Kevin mentions the "established limit of open circuit cave diving" at
one kilometer in Wakulla. Kev, how about we went 10,000 on o.c., and the
kilo mark is our second of six stage drops. How about we snuck the place
on mix before Stone ever got in 10 years ago?. How about Stone never
dove trimix ( your article is about trimix)? How about scooters , Kev,
how about anything even remotely true in your article????????? How about
leaving the comedy about Jim King to me?

I hear that Kevin is the IANTD guy in OZ, and I think I met this guy
at Tek 96. All he had to say to me was, "trimix is too expensive in Oz".
Kev, take two reality pills and call me in the morning. - G
