A story for your good on air guys. My pal Joey was just over to the house to pick up his scooter and he told me about a dive a couple of weeks ago on a deep wreck. There was an instructor and a student, and we do not know who they are, who were doing a trimix course. Joey set the hook, and was solo diving. He wanted to go up, so he went to the pair and told the instructor he was going up, and to get the hook himself. At deco, the student showed up , and Joey could feel a tugging on the line. After several minutes the line came free, and up came the insructor. Later , on the boat, the instructor said, "That was some knot you tied, I had to cut it", to which Joey said, " It was two snaps spliced in - you just needed to unsnap it - there was no knot". How good are you on narcotic mixes, and why are you using them? I am goind to tell a story each day like this from our experience. Oh, by the way, the mix was real close to correct, it was not some 17/17 or anything real stupid, it was jsut not enough for the situation. Luckily, this was not a dire straight. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. Send list subscription requests to `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'.
