Do note, however, that if you're in absolute nil viz you're probably screwed anyway if you can't read your gauges to tell when you're at your stop depth and when you've reached the MOD of your deco gas. Being able to read your depth gauge and being able to read your bottles go pretty much hand in hand. The 24 inch viz on last Saturday afternoon's night dive in the middle of Lake Erie is about as low as you'd want to go (note: it did open up to about 10 feet near the bottom, so we could see each other on the wreck, but it wasn't until the 10' stop that there was enough natural light to be able to douse my light). -- Anthony DeBoer http://www.onramp.ca/~adb/ adb@he*.re*.or* (here) adb@ge*.co* (work) #include "std.disclaimer" -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
