In regards to your question of full face masks and solutions to mix
switching problems, there is a new valve (redundant supply valve) on the
market. Ffm's require the use of a regulator and the redundant supply
valve (rsv) connects to the second stage (where the lp hose goes). Two
lp hoses (from two different tanks) are connected to the rsv. To switch
gas, slide the valve up or down.

I saw a proto type of this valve. Very simple. One moving part (valve
with 4 o rings) and field servicable. On the cover of the current issue
of the Dive Journal is an excellent picture of this valve connected to a
ffm.

The valve is made by Sartek Industries, Inc. (516) 924-0441, e-mail:

p.s. If anybody is interested, I am not connected to Sartek industries,
but I do write for the Dive Journal.
