Hi Peter. I work for a dealer and we both have used the 20 UL/500 units for
a number of dives. I have a Mk 15/250 that I have used for over 200 dives
and the 20 UL/500 is as good a system. The UL 1st stage is nice if you
travel alot, otherwise I would stay with the standard Mk 20. The G500 is
smaller than the G250, lighter "percived" weight in the water, and I think
it dispersis bubbles better. I have ordered 2 new 20/G500 systems for
myself if that says anything. Time will tell if the 500 is as good as the
G250 in long term use.
