I=92ve realized my fundamental error here =

I didn=92t realize that some deep divers breathe almost 100% compressed
O2. (...fascinating...). What is the current technology regarding the
use of carried, then vaporized LOX as a source ? Has this concept been
tested ?

Most pro divers don=92t go to the extremes of safety precautions that the=

O2 production industry does, simply due to cost and perceived risk. If a
diver=92s breathing supply fails, only one person dies (and diving is
already perceived to be a "high-risk" individual activity). However, if
a bulk liquid or gaseous O2 piping/storage/valve system fails, there is
the potential for big booms...and mega lawsuits (as has already been
mentioned).

Exposure to risk TIME must be considered. Our systems operate 24
hrs/day. How long does a typical dive session last ? =

Lesson here, as I see it :

"Think twice, post once."

PS There=92s a good video of O2 (LOX) combustion intensity available at =
