I have noticed the same effect on deep air dives. On two recent dives in Miami to about 200FT on air, I noticed thick fog forming inside my mask immediately following a switch from air to surface supplied 100% O2. I have not noticed the effect before. These dives were a bit unusal becuase we have been experincing a strong "upwelling," which has brought extremely cold water over the deeper wrecks in Miami. The water temperatures on the bottom were 59 degrees on one dive, and 66 on another, with 82-84 degree water on decompression stops. I have not noticed this "fogging" on dives where the water temperatures on decompression were similar to bottom teperatures, but I might not have noticed somehow. Jody Svendsen MiG Technologies
