Just this past weekend I met a fellow who, like you, had done the PSI course. He bought all the lights and picks and stuff, did the visuals, and brought his tanks down to the local shop for a fill. Shop owner: You can't do your own visuals. That's a conflict of interest! Tank owner: Ahh, so that's why you don't visual the tanks you have in rental! It gets better, though: he's in litigation against the diveshop now, because he wants them to fill his tanks.
