Subject: Re: Phenom at Indian
Vin, he was holding his own until he started talking about diving, and
then when he got to the bondage wings, well the mask flew right off.
Chief, I only have two deliveries: bad, and real bad. You and I have
both long ago given up on the real strokes, but we may save a few
newcomers.

The only possible argument in favor of me continuing to bother with
this is that long term it may produce enough serious players to not only
keep us rolling, but to keep the sport from being outlawed or regulated.
The old time fat, drunken, pot-smoking red necks really do not do too
much diving any more, so do not present much of a risk. We can influence
the perception to where the new guys do not get themselves killed
emulated the strokes, especialy when we jump on the deep air guys in
light of our own diving record.

You do not follow it as closely as I do, since I spend a lot of time
talking to the guys in others countries. Let me give you an exmaple of
why it is so important for us to keep both fret on the strokes' necks:
remember that TV show that the Australians were talking about where the
New Zealnader got killed trying to "set a depth record in a cave" in
Kiwi? The dude had read the Wakulla Project book ( the Bible of
strokery) , where that horifying collection of mutants were diving at
300 feet on air asnd bragging about it evrywhere. This guy thought that
since Skiles did it, that it was ok, and so he tried it and died.

This is why it is worth it, in my opinion, to get on here, or anywhere
else I can, and point out that this crap is not the real deal. As
everyone knows, the phony map produced by these guys was partially phony
due to the air diving, and if you read the book you see how these great
heroes of strokedom stuggled with dives that I can do on less than 80 cu
ft of gas in less than 20 minutes with 90 min of deco, and so can anyone
else using our methods.

Despite the Chris Browns, and the Ted Diveshops, and the Pettenudious
Oxides out there, I know what the fuck I am talking about, and it is
usually a very short time before every one realizes that and tries what
I say. Hell, I hear that Harry Averil, Mr. Dive Rite dyed-in-the-wool
good ole boy hose stuffer is now known around town as "Harry
Hogarthian". This guy used to complain to everyone he could about what
an asshole I am, and now he is copying me - that means other will do it
right from Harry now.

The fact is , I learned from Gavin and Main, whom nobody but a few of
us ever listened to,and whom the same dumb red necks hated liek they
hate me, but 100's have learned from me, and my guess is it is the
delivery . Sure , most people hate me, but as long as my dog and cat are
happy to see me when I get home, I don't give a fuck, and I even locked
the Mainecoon in the garage last night and he was still happy to see me.
It has done the goobers no good to battle me, we still hold all the
cards and always will , simply because we are right, and they are dead
wrong in everything they do , in and out of diving.
