I wouldn't worry about your lungs: off the top of my head, I'd say
you'd have to breathe pretty slowly indeed to make a difference.

However, exercise at decompression stops may make a big difference,
especially in cold water.  Check out _Physiology and Medicine of
Diving_ for more info.
