I personally would prefer to dive on nitrox first, then air. My reasoning: I can do the dive I want to, have a shorter surface interval, feel better after the dive. Then I do the air dive. I do not have to worry about surface intervals afterwards, as it would be my last dive for the day in any case. Now the nice lethargic feeling can take over, I can have my "toot" and relax in general. Don't know, just my way of looking at this scenario.
